If your router has 192.168.0.1 IP address and when you type it in you end up in Google or Bing search you need to check following:
  • If your router is really using 192.168.0.1 IP address. Below we describe steps to do it.
  • Make sure that device you are using is not connected to a mobile network. Your router is in local home network and you need to be connected to it in order to reach it.
  • If you are sure that your router is using 192.168.0,1 IP address but you still cannot connect to it then check if you are connected to a right router and/or wi-fi network. It is possible that the network you are connected to is using different network. Make sure that you are not using mobile network.

On Windows XP please click on the 'Start' button and then select "Run...".

Type following command and press enter: cmd

This will open a MSDOS command window, then type: ipconfig

On Windows 7 and 10 please click on the 'Start' button and type in search box: cmd This will open a MSDOS command window, then type: ipconfig

Look for the line starting with "Default Gateway IP" and make sure that it has 192.168.0.1 in it. If it is not then your router is using a different IP which is displayed on this line.

Check if router is using 192.168.0.1 IP address on Linux

To see your router IP open a command window and type any of the commands: route or netstat -nr or ip route show Look for the router IP in the Gateway column. If it matches 192.168.0.1 IP then your router is using it. Otherwise Gateway column will display your current router IP.

  • Press home button
  • Go to Settings
  • Press on Wi-Fi
  • Select Wi-Fi network you're connected too
  • Your router IP address will be in Router row. You can also see your current IP address in IP Address row
